Airport Road is one of Plettenberg Bay’s most scenic countryside corridors, winding through a magical rural landscape that stretches from the end of Robberg Road to the N2 towards Knysna. The serene drive rises gently over forested hills and dips through lush valleys lined with stalls, farms, farm stalls, equestrian estates, and expansive lifestyle properties, with homes typically positioned well back from the road, allowing the cultivated countryside to remain the dominant presence.

Life along Airport Road is enriched by a handful of much-loved local landmarks. Ice Dream Land has become a destination in its own right, drawing locals and visitors alike for authentic Italian pizza, pasta, fresh mozzarella, and gelato, while nearby Cairnbrogie offers vast, dog-friendly hiking trails. At the end of the road, the Harkerville Saturday Market provides a wholesome way to support the close-knit local community, with fresh farm produce, baked goods, artisanal wares, and handmade creations.

Despite its rural character, Airport Road remains remarkably well-connected. Plettenberg Bay’s town centre and beaches are typically just a 10–15 minute drive away, while the nearby N2 provides easy access towards Knysna and the wider Garden Route.
